Ambronzia, Black Beech Honeydew from The Guilds of High Peak Estate.

Ambronzia is a premium honeydew that can only be found in one of the world’s remotest and most pristine, wild habitats – the South Island of New Zealand.

Honeydew is a well-known non-floral honey. The bees of High Peak Estate collect sweet dew found naturally on the trunk of the native New Zealand Black Beech (Nothofagus Solandri). Back in the hive, they simply combine this goodness with natural enzymes to ripen into Ambronzia. Simple, authentic and unadulterated.

Ambronzia is raw and is not heat-treated or excessively filtered. It also has minerals, trace elements and natural oligosaccharides (complex sugars) in greater levels than average flower honeys. Oligosaccharides are helpful in maintaining and promoting beneficial bacteria in the gut (probiotic bacteria), assisting the recovery of healthy gut function after taking antibiotics. It also has higher levels of antioxidants than most flower honeys.

To hold the name Ambronzia, New Zealand Premium Black Beech Honeydew has to be collected from wild habitats within 150km of High Peak Estate located at 43 26 51.59S 171 44 00.23E in the central South Island, NZ. It must be raw, responsibly harvested, traceable, sustainable and produced by bees in and around the New Zealand Southern Alps.

Ambronzia is available exclusively in the United Arab Emirates from Balqees Honey. Look for The Guilds of High Peak brand.
